The Institute for Research in Jewish Law is pleased and excited to announce the publication of a scholarly edition of the book The Bargain and Sale of Rabbi Hai Gaon (Part 1), one of the cornerstones of the halachic literature of the Geonim.

The volume includes a new translation, by Dr. Zvi Stampfer, of the Arabic original that survived in the Genizah, and includes dozens of previously unpublished passages, all with the addition of notes and explanations.

The volume is being published in collaboration with the Institute for research in Jewish Law, Yad H'Rav Nissim and Mekitze Nerdemim Publishing.
